Creating a second account

Hi,
I want to start selling on ebay but would rather use a different user name to my buying account.
Ebay's help section says that having a second account is fine and that there is no need to re-register.
I can't find anywhere though how to do this!
Grateful for any help

You will have to register with a new email address. You can however, use the same Paypal account. HTH0

Log out of your main account and then go through the sign up rigmarole. As Chocolate says, you will need a second email account but that shouldn't be too difficult to get.
Apart from that, what I would do is use your current account as a selling account and register a new buying ID - having done this once it is very hard to start a selling account from scratch as buyers can see that you have at least got some experience of the way eBay works. When I started using a zero-FB posting ID (registered to use on the forums, but in practice I very rarely did --- until I got wrecked and then created a third ID used for buying and posting there) as a second selling account, I bought a number of things first just to show I wasn't a complete newbie.

Thanks for the advice. I can see that it would make sense to start a new one for just buying so that I can use my feedback score so far to begin selling.
Sorry another question - is it possible to change an ebay user id? Mine is far too close to being my actual name and I've been told that this isn't a good idea?Debt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -

Several people have mentioned having separate accounts for buying and selling - why is this please?
2. If you have an unpleasant transaction as a buyer and have to leave a non-positive score or poor DSR ratings, an angry seller can choose to wreck your own sales as they can't reciprocate with nasty feedback. I had that (I think - either that or my outspoken posting on the Community Q&A forums wound someone up) on my selling ID a few years ago."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4
