I am looking for 10 days in September ,flexible, AI?,for two of us,finally settled on these places as Portugal is said to be good value at the moment and been to Fuerteventura recently and was impressed with the value. Only briefly been to Tavira once.Others countries considered but we need good weather in september.I love Greece but I dont think Ai is an option.
Can anyone point me towards low rise accommodation with good food.Things we quite like: low rise accomodation, foreigners, local food, peace and quiet, cheesy hotel entertainment, weak cocktails, sunbathing.Agood beach close by
Things we don't like-loudness,nightclubs nearby,burgers,organized excursions..
I tends to look at accomodation from 3* with at least a 4 and a half tripadviser rating.
Any help from those in the know much appreciated.

havnt been to portugal, have been to lanzarote apart from one hotel on the island all properties are low rise. we stayed at playa poccollis on the outskirts of pdc, clubhotel paraiso 4* all inclusive with several speciality restaraunts not sure if this one meets your requirments but it is a nice hotel. if you didnt want organised trips you could hire a car, timafaya is definitly worth a visit.
the tripadvisor forums will be able to give you more specific advice.0 -
thanks,i will look at that.I dont necessarily need speciality restaurants, one good quality buffet one would be great.I have not yet stayed in a riu but heard they can be very good.0

we have stayed in a few riu hotels, have always been pleased with them, at the paraiso we found the entertainment was very good compared to other hotels we have stayed. have you considered egypt? reef oasis blue bay is something special.0

I think I am definitely looking at the quietist resorts in portugal, and partly because its somewhere I haven';t explored much.
