PPI reclaim from Oct 2003

So am I right in assuming if it was over 7yrs ago, they can claim Im statute barred from taking legal action and I cant claim back my PPI?

Or is this not true?

Hi there,do you have the account number for this?,if you do put a complaint in,people have won with ppi mis sell from the 90s.
If you dont have the account number then if you have a local branch go in and ask.

I go with what amersall says.

I was recently successful with 2 from late 90's going into early 2000's.
And do not worry about the time barring, if it's only recently you became aware of the mis selling of PPI, then make them aware of that as well, good luck.

It is from carcraft, ppi paid on car finance (transaction took place on oct 2003), they are stating it is statue barred. As I have already sent them questionnaire and this is their response, what would be the next course of action.

Tell them you don't agree with the time barring in your case.
If its only recently you were made aware of the mis selling and you realised this applied to you, then tell them that, it's not your fault you wasn't aware before now.
Keep at them, write back until you receive a final decision, good luck.
