How much do you spend on your household shop?

I'm really interested in how much others spend on their weekly shopping (especially having the most expensive weekly shop of the year just over with).
I think an amount per person is the best way to go & include basic household stuff as well, cleaning products, loo roll, basic toiletries ECT. But no drink or cigarettes or magazines.
If we class adults & teenagers as 1 whole person & children 12 & under as halfs, so 2 parents & 1 teenager = 3 people and 2 parents & 2 under 12's = 3 people also.
I've never posted a poll so here goes, may or may not work.

I would say around £20 a head. (" adults, 2 children - 7 and 1)
But I chose the higher £20 (in the 20-30 section) because sometimes it does go over, especially when I need to buy nappies and things....babies do seem to work out a bit more expensive than older children.Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. I'll remind you of that when they are 12-13 and start demanding designer gear, expensive hobbies and gadgets. A couple of packs of nappies and a tub of milk will seem very cheap indeed!
Lol - I was comparing to a 7 year old:D
I agree that once they get near high school age the cost of the little darlings does rocket. Mind you, I assumed that gadgets, clothes and things weren't included in the weekly shop price in the poll - just food and toiletries.;)Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. I spend around 50-60 pounds a week to feed 2 adults, 4 kids and the cat.
Cook everything from scratch and clean everything with stardrops!!
It used to be double this until i found the old style boards, thanks to everyone on there for the help.

Of course when they get to 12-13 years old they also start to eat like adults!
I have 3 boys 14,12 and 9 and my 2 eldest eat more than me -so its not just the trips, gadgets (my eldest had a lap top for Xmas -a lot dearer than my 9 year olds pile of toys!)
I spend about £100-£120 per week for 2 adults and 3 boys -and I would say we live very well on this

I try to spend no more than £20 a week for me and DS aged 2 and a half, that includes the cost of nappies, up until recently i was spending £10 to £15 a week just on nappies but he's almost fully potty trained during the day now so it's dropped to about £5 to £8.:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0

Before I joined MSE, our food spending was obscene. It is still high at £30 a head, working on bringing it down in the new year. January should be easier as we have Christmas stock and running down our stock, as were will be selling very soon.An average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T :rotfl: :rotfl: :mad:
I am no expert in property but have lived in many types of homes, in many locations and can only talk from experience.0
