Just wanted to ask a question of other regulars to find out who else regularly checks out the Google News section.
The reason I ask is that fairly recently I've started to customise my selection using the "custom section" directory. Within the selection I've picked global economic news and UK economic news, but there are also sections for Peak Oil, Currency, Gold, loads of industries... All of these are subsets of the "business" section. There's even one for the UK property market: http://news.google.com/news/section?pz=1&cf=all&ned=uk&hl=en&csid=4f7193427a3ee163
I've picked up a few interesting articles searching this way and was just curious to see if anyone else is doing the same. Anything you would recommend?
ETA: for fc123 there's also a search on UK retail. I am one of a total of 7 subscribers to the section on the UK economy!

Only time I use google news is when I use google search to find news on stories that BBC and Reuters don't seem to be running with - for example Fukushima updates - then I just search Google and use the google news links returned in the search results. May be I am being very lazy in using the BBC (and to a much lessor extent Reuters) as my news aggregators?
Vaguely on topic I read the economist lead on News International and it was the first place where I had seen anyone dare mention my concern that regulating the press was detrimental in the long term which led me to wonder - do I read the Economist because I agree with its perspective or have I read it so long I have been indoctrinated by their perspective?I think....0 -
