Help needed, Small car choice

The old Rover 45 got to 230,000 and it's time to get something else (nothing wrong with the Rover but with this mileage something will go wrong soon).
I want to buy something not older than 6 years that has AC as a minimum but can't make up my mind.

I have the choice of Fiat Panda 1.1 Eleganza, Mitsubishi Colt 1.1 and a 2006 Mazda 2 1.4 TS.


I drove all of them and all are comfy and answer my needs, so which one to go for?

I don't know enough about the Mazda to comment on that one, but the other two I can.

The Panda is a decent small car, but is only a 4 seater and tiny boot. Fun to drive, economical and generaly reliable - I have an '08 dynamic. The engine is belt cam.

You don't say if the Colt is 3 or 5 door; makes quite a difference and they are almost two different cars. Both are 5 seaters and slightly larger than the panda all round, however the 5 door makes much more sense if you are carrying passengers in the back. Both are chain cam engines and have high levels of reliability. The 5 door would have been my choice over the Panda but I couldn't find one at the right price when I wanted one.

Of the two cars my preference would be 5 door Colt, followed by the Panda, followed by 3 door Colt.
