advice on claiming bank charges back please

Have just telephoned Black Horse about claiming the PPI on 3 loans, they were very obliging with no angst or trouble at all.
Not the same reaction when 10 minutes later, when I phoned the Halifax, requesting a direct number to speak to someone about claiming back unfair bank charges. Her response was that they will not be refunding any charges whatsover, anymore, as the High Court ruling was that the charges were fair, and that any amendments that were set, they have complied with-so are now above board & legal. Can I still claim?

Black Horse have an uphold rate of around 99% on PPI and that is because what they did was wrong. Halifax are right. They look at bank charges on a goodwill basis only since the court case. The FOS wont even look at them any more.

So, even if I did the hardship route-which is no lie over the last few months-they`d still uphold their decision?

The hardship route is till available but you have to be in real hardship and the bank in that case will often only look at a much smaller range of charges. The FOS still dont look at hardship cases although they do ask the bank to look at your case more favourably.

Did you tell Halifax that you were looking at bank charges under the financial hardship criteria?

I have been trying since January to get back ppi from Black Horse 1st they told me they had not received relevant paperwork (which was a lie as I had a conversation with someone who told me they had) I have now been told they have a back log since the Court Ruling and will hear from them by August 31st but will not receive anything until 2months after that, so dont expect a quick payout.
