Received an item i never ordered, paid for by my card from a Old order. Please help

Hi i made a order from nitelife or exotic dancewear ( exoticdancewear dot co dot uk ) some 8 months ago paid by debit card. 2-3 weeks ago £45 goes out my account and a dress turns up i open package thinking whats this then (noticed money out account after) i call the company and say i never ordered this and they apologised gave silly excuses and said return it we will refund and give you a credit voucher. Now they say they cant refund as wasnt with original packaging and its in a unsellable condition (it had some fluffy stuff on it to start with) surely them processing an order without permission with card details i used before itself is in breach of something? i dont know what to do its not alot of money but i really need it.

Having a near identical situation! Of course, mug that I am, reading all the bad reviews now. Items they never had in stock in the first place promised, zero correspondence then so-called alternatives sent which in no way resemble the items ordered. Several phonecalls and an email ignored. Trading Standards and consumer direct beckon I think. I wish you luck in getting your money back.. I'm gonna need it too. If you paid by credit card, contact them for chargeback.
