Old Abbey Credit Card

Hi,

I had an Abbey Credit Card quite a few years ago and was paying PPI. I called them today to which I then found out that Santander had taken them over.
Whilst on the phone I gave the details of my Abbey Card and they didn't have anything on there system about me therefore they said I cannot claim any PPI.
Do you have any advice on what I should do please?

Hi Paul

First of all how old is this account? and can you remember the year you settled this?
Normally they will hold data going back the last 6 years, sometimes even longer.

However, if you know you were sold PPI and defo mis sold, then still give it a go despite what they said, you have the number of the card and that should help.
Sometimes they tell you they don't hold anything and suddenly when making a complaint, they find the data.
