Facebook sellers Scam!

Hi,
Does anyone know what I can do to retrive or al least civilly resolve a problem with a Facebook buiness person whom I have paid over 5months ago for an item which never arrived. The seller acknowledges not sending it because she has travelled abroad and does not know when she will be back to the UK. Still operating on FB but just seems to ignore my request for a refund.
It is not as much as the money am owed but the nonchalant attitude to giving me a refund.
Don't know if there is a business bereau or authority to investigate this because the business account I paid into is a UK business account. Please advice.
Thank you

I am guessing a bank transfer? In that case there is unlikely to be anything you can do.

Your only hope will be to get the geographic address of the business and go through small claims court, but even that might not work if seller has disappeared.

I just wish facebook would stop her from seller via their site as am not the first person to have this problem with her.

The problem is though how do Facebook police such a large venue? There has to be some level of trust or common sense from buyers. I assume you knew that a bank transfer wasn't recoverable so what back up plans did you actually have when buying from a site that does not verify it's sellers at all?

AS far as I can see it is sort of like Gumtree with lots of chat on the side:

Ta, hadn't heard of that before, though maybe people just used an ordinary profile to advertise stuff.

go onto their Facebook page and post you want your money back, repeat this every few hours and get you friends to post on her page too.Keep it going until they pay you back, I'm sure if they are a business they won't want constant bad publicity on their FB page.
