Olympic Games credit card warning

A contact at one of the Games' major sponsors has warned me that the organisers of the 2012 Olympics are aiming to ensure that all vending machines (and possibly other outlets) are 'card only' so that no machines will accept or contain cash.

The contact has also warned that, thanks to VISA's sponsorship of the games no other cards will be accepted... Same as the ticket scenario of course!

Therefore, if true, anyone visiting the events would be well-advised to have organised at the very least a pre-paid VISA card in advance - probably heavily loaded as I doubt anything at the venues will be cheap!
