Sold festival tickets - now suspicious at lack of comms from buyer

Hi folks

So sorry if this query has been brought up before:

Basically, I sold a pair of festival tickets as I needed the money and couldn't really afford the extra cost of getting up there/partying/getting back etc.
So I listed them on ebay (with a buy it now and a bidding option), and someone bought them straight away for what seemed to be the going rate before any bids had been put down.

Now I stated in the description that I would need to change the names on the tickets before they're sent to me (which is between 7-14 days before the festival). I have reminded the buyer this when invoicing and have heard nothing back.

The money is in my pay pal account but what is worrying me is that this is some elaborate scam. The buyer has only 1 feedback score.

What can I do to protect myself? Especially if I only have one name I can change the ticket to (the buyers).

Thank you all!

Did you actually ask them for the name or just say that you would have to change the name?
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

Get their phone number from ebay and try and ring them.

Well they've paid, so it's not screaming scam...

Just request their contact details, phone them, ask them what names they want on the tickets. If you can't get through, send another message via ebay requesting what names they want on the tickets.

Also, don't forget to send them SPECIAL DELIVERY. This is the only valid way to send tickets.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

    Hi Sambucus,
I did both. In the listing stated I would have to change the name and then requested the name when I invoiced them.

What I'm worried about is that they could find some way to get a refund??
The tickets are genuine and if I can't change the names in time I was planning to send them to the buyer regardless as I've told them what needs to be done to ease their entry.
I stupidly didn't state in the listing that it is not my responsibility if they refused entry on the basis of them not supplying me with the correct details, but I did state that this needs to be done.
