Capital One alternative offered

I applied for the Capital One transfer card hoping to do some balance transfers. They rejected me and instead offered a card with 0% on purchases until January and 29.9% APR.
This doesn't seem to be any of the cards available on the website, is it just one tailor made for what they want to offer me?
As they haven't rejected me completely, is it worth me calling them up and explaining that I really wanted to do a balance transfer and see if they will be able to do something better? Has anyone had success with that?

You can try asking for the card applied for but capital one have most likely offered you that card on the basis that they think it will make them more money then if you use the balance transfer card.0

But look at the APR offered. The OP didn't pass the credit scoring for the card they applied for, so capital one have offered the best product their willing to offer based on the OP's credit profile.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

I agree with izools, cap1 one always offer the product that they will accept you on. The other is a declineDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
