New HSBC PPI Letter rcv'd today !

Hi,

So after lodging my HSBC PPI claim i get ;

Letter saying they will reply in 8 weeks.
Another saying they need another 4 weeks.

Now I get a letter saying they are now allowed to take upto 16 weeks from the date of my contact with them to reply as now permitted by the FSA because of the backlog, but will pay interest to compensate for any delay !

Looks like its gonna be a long slog to the end !!!

Anyone else got such a letter ?

    Hiya

    Yes the majority are receiving these letters now, the FSA have given permission for extra time, they may still resolve your complaint sooner though, good luck, and check the details of this on the FSA website also.

  • Well at least they are keeping me in the loop and all it's cost me thus far is an initial e mail and a questionnaire !

    Fingers crossed and a waiting game !

    16 weeks.... wow... that's heart breaking. To think I've and many others like me have only been waiting over 70 weeks and still counting so far.
