Welcome Finance ppi

Hi,

I am new on here so apologies if this question has already been asked....On th 16th of May we returned our application for reclaiming PPI to welcome finance, on 22nd June we phoned to find out how the claim was going - we were told that the claim was still being investigated and we would hear from them shortly. The following day £296.75 was lodged into our bank account by FSCS and we assumed that our claim had been dealt with, however on 24th Welcome phoned us to arrange this months payment. We contacted customer services again to find out what was happening and were told that they had lodged the money but had still to clear the car finance (they assured us they would). Today we received a letter informing us that this months payment was now overdue and we would be charged 10.00 for the letter, we again phoned customer services and were told that no decision has been made yet on our claim but we should hear something by 12th July - If this is the case why did they lodge any money in our account?

    Hi there

Hope they sort this out soon, its not fair really is it, and its not your fault, so why they did what they did though beats me, can they not give you a clear explanation on this?

Thanks for responding :) They wont give us any explanation just said that we should receive word of the decision by the 12th July, but I am worried that if they decide to turn down our application we will have to give the £295 back to the FSCS and also have additional charges on our account.

Personally I don't think you will be turned down, you would have heard by now if that was the case, so try not to worry, I'm sure it will all be ok.
Please keep us posted though, just 11 days before you hear, fingers crossed.;)
