RM accepting mail to Canada from today 1st July

Following Canada Post’s return to work earlier this week (as reported via their website https://www.canadapost.ca), we’ve made great progress in clearing mail for Canada that was held in our pipeline. We’re happy to now invite customers to re-commence posting new items to Canada from Friday 1st July 2011. However, please be aware that Canada Post are advising of potential continued delays to mail once received into their country, as they deal with unprocessed mail in the system and accumulated mail received from other countries. As a result, it maytake some time for Canada Post to stabilise operations and return to normal delivery standards. We’re sorry for any inconvenience the situation in Canada has caused our customers.

Might be an idea to wait a few days. There must be quite a pile to be cleared from when POs were still accepting post for Canada but it was not being sent out of the UK.

I sent a couple of things to Canada today that I'd had waiting (etsy items, not ebay). The Post Office lady said that although they're now accepting post, it'll probably take a lot longer than usual because there's still a considerable backlog- not a problem for these buyers, but worth bearing in mind if you're selling on ebay.
