Cereal bars maybe, the extra weight will mean you take less clothes0

Try packet soups, noodles, dried pasta dishes and so on - all the "just add water" variety. Weighs little but simple to make.
Local tomato and egg sandwiches made with fresh bread from the bakers are really tasty.

Shelly, you can get everything you need from the big supermarkets in Turkey, fresh bread, salad, fruit, eggs, pasta, packet soups etc. You can alos have simit, they are like bagels coverd in sesame seed and my children love them.
Don't bother loading your case up with things or you could end up paying extra on your luggage allowance!0 -
I second what Kedi says!
I visited my brother in Turkey last year and only took hand luggage. You can get pretty much everything in shops and supermarkets including cereal, pasta, noodles etc. Though to be honest because of the heat all you are going to want during the day at least is fruit, salad, sandwiches and ice cream! No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!0 -
Some things are much more expensive , Sun Cream and Nappies.0

Sun cream yes, nappies no! I lived in Turkey when my daughter was a baby and the Turkish brand ones were cheaper than UK ones, just as good though. Even Pampers were the same price as the UK and they were a lot more expensive than local brands.0
