When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D

Morning everyone:j
Well, another sunny one here...and another step closer to the weekend...and to the summer hols of course:T
Both of my 2 off school today due to the strikes, but my school not affected, so off I go:o It does make my morning less rushed - I can just get myslef ready. DD2 slept over at a friends and dd1 will be asleep for hours to come yet;)

So, better get my list down:
  • check banking - moved tax credits around
  • check onepoll
  • meal from plan tonight - jacket pots/leftover bol
  • washing on the line
  • fruit/water to work, free cuppas there
  • lunch out today - will be under £5 tho'
  • carry on with my essay later - am halfway and on a roll:p
  • write next week's meal plan
Ok, that'll do me.
Have a fab day people:A
I really need to sort out a new signature!

    Morning all

Thanks for starting us off Pixie. Hope the sun stays out for you walk tigermoon. After packing all our books up, I think we might be putting a kindle on our Christmas list, La E. You seem to get good use out of yours.

So yesterday I started packing up the kitchen, we have sooo much stuff it is unbelievable! The plan is to move the stuff into storage this weekend. Then I have next week to start tidying up the flat, full clean and emptying next week. Currently the flat looks a right mess and you can't move for boxes. But just one more day and we are into July. :j

    Today I will:
    • Check bank balances
    • Check surveys
    • Homemade lunch
    • Dinner - just remembered that I forgot to get my pizza dough out of the freezer. I will need to think of something else to have for dinner
    • Packing boxes and clothes
    • Call Virgin about the move

    Much there I am afraid.

    Have a good day everyone.
    xx

    Hello peoples

well payday is finally here!! weeee!

Loving my savings account as I am just rounding down the balance and putting the surplus into my savings to pay off the debt quicker - bit like a sealed pot :D

    Today I will have:

Paid my rent and my half of the extreme parking bill to the BF (still can't believe it was over £70!)
Put some washing on ready for the weekend
Restrained from killing the kitten as since he's come back from his holiday at mum and dads he's hyper and REALLY bitey :'( they don't realises that by letting him bite and play with their hands that they're encouraging him... as when we left he was getting out of the habit
Go for a mini walk at lunchtime (the BF used to come with me when we first got together now he couldn't care less :D)
Go to Mr T's and get some bits and bobs
Keep to the diet (did have a packet of wine gums... only a little packet though )
Package and find the ebay items I sold over the weekend and get ready to send them

oops sandwich man is here so best go and get the BF something - don't want him to go hungry :rotfl:

Have a lovely day my wonderful MSE kids
    xxxx
