PPI & bankruptcy

Hi I had a loan with Welcome Finance 6 years ago for £4000 and paid £2800 befoire it was included in my bankruptcy 4 years ago.
I have no paperwork left for this account, and have no idea how much PPI I paid.
Today I received a letter from Welcome finance stating they were paying out for mis sold PPI and I can fill in the form to claim (looks like a generic form tbh). However Im not sure what happens considering the loan was never paid in full because of the bankruptcy? Would I be entitled to claim for the PPI on the amount I had paid? Im not sure if they have just sent this letter out to every past/present customer and in fact because the remainder of the loan was covered by bankruptcy I wouldnt not be entitled to claim for anything?
Any help is appreciated! x

Hi there, yes you can claim this, although it may go the bankruptcy, Welcome ppi is being paid by the FSCS and they are taking the refunds off the loans.
You would need to ask your or what you need to do.
