hello, I do hope someone can help me.
i have a panasonic dvd recorder DMR-EX78EB. I wrongly tried to format a RW disc on my player - this was unsucessful.
However, I now cannot play any pre-recorded dvd's on the machine.
Can anyone tell me how to fix this please.
Many thanks

Try leaving it unplugged for an hour, if no good, try overnight. it sounds like it's got itself into a virtual pickle. It is however a possibilty that the use of a RW disc in a unit only capable of burning R discs may have caused laser damage as the way that the laser is reflected from these types of discs is very different. If it won't even read original DVDs it sounds like this may be a possibility.0
