Urgently need a European sat nav..

I'm driving to germany this coming Friday and unfortunately my Tom Tom packed up when I tried to update it via the site (terrible).

The car rental company say they can not guarantee a sat nav, and nobody I know has a European one

If anybody is willing to loan me one for 3 days (1st to 3rd July), I would obviously pay you a decent price.

Please help

Sorry if this was in the wrong place btw

Failing that you could always use a map.

My wife was born (a little) before that, I wonder what her excuse is?

Have you got a BlackBerry or android phone you can download the Wisepilot satnav app on? You can PAYG for £1.50 a day, or £5 for a week and covers the whole of Europe.

Well by the time you had paid for insured express shipping back and forth and a deposit to the lender etc...

Why not just buy one? cheapest europe map one is only £79 in Halfords and then sell/ebay it for £40-£50 afterwards?

When we went to Florida we rented one from www.easy2rent.co.uk they sent it next day delivery and were very helpful we hired one for our 14 day holiday and it cost about £30 just looked for 3 days it says it is £9.95 (plus about £7.50 p&p)- may be worth looking at, we would definately use them again
Thanks to MSE savings we got to go to Disneyworld Florida.

Well it depends if your Tom Tom is fixable! if not surely you will be needing a new Sat Nav anyway? if its £20 or so to hire one surely it would be money better spent towards a replacement?

Is there not a way of maybe fixing the TomTom you have? I'm no expert, but you never know... a good place to start may be http://www.tomtomforums.com/
