Just wondering if anyone’s heard of this situation before?

To cut long story short, was missold PPI on a car finance loan, the loan had been settled 4 years previous, total PPI due approx 1100.

PPI was missold at dealers, letters went to dealer and Blackhorse, months of letters to and fro, dealer accepted responsibly and explained in there final letter that they and Blackhorse would settle. I sent back signed acceptance and 3 weeks later received a cheque for roughly £300, however this was for interest of premiums paid. The letter sent with this refund explained that the cheque for premiums will be sent shortly by Blackhorse. Has anyone had this experience as surely the dealer should have settled in full with me and maybe struck a deal themselves with Blackhorse? I’m about to go to FOS as I’m not happy at all…

Well done on your win !!.
You should chase the other cheque up and if you get no joy then threaten that you will go the FOS.
The waiting time for FOS at the moment can be anything up to 2 years!.
Best to deal with the company first.

Thank you amersall, will give it another couple of weeks and see where to go from there... just thought it unusuall that a dealer and finance company would split the blame!
