After seeing the HUKD thread, I made plans for my family to go to Legoland this Friday 1st July, booking Legoland tickets and hotel accommodation separately online. However my 5 year old boy who is 15 months into treatment for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia unexpectedly suffered a seizure on Friday, a rare side effect of one of the chemotherapy drugs. He was on life support in intensive care at Manchester Childrens Hospital until he regained consciousness 24 hours later. Despite all, amazingly he is home with us now. So we decided to postpone any plans to travel the 250 miles to Windsor, certainly in the near future. It was a heart stopping experience and we do not feel comfortable straying too far from MCH just yet. After contacting Legoland today, how disappointed I was that the 'Manager' refused to refund the tickets despite the circumstances, stating company policy. Although they said we could use the tickets up until November, we do not know when or if we will resume plans to travel. I am shocked that a business set up for the enjoyment of children can show such a lack of compassion given the circumstances.

Really sorry to hear about your son, hope he is doing well now & i hope that u visit legoland soon with ur son n hav a great time!

I would contact them by email/letter with a complaint about this, you stand far better chance of getting a better resolution to your problem you had with the "manager" Best wishes.

Thanks, I emailed them, they phoned today with an apology, a full refund and a promise the staff concerned will be trained.
