Great win but... sigh :-(

So I had a call today from Eurostar to say I'd been picked out as the winner of 1 of 5 pairs of weekend camping tickets to the Main Square Festival in Lille, France with Eurostar return transport and transfers! GREAT but… I'm a second pick as the first person couldn't go so I now have until 5pm to let him know if I can take the tickets or not.! They originally let winners know last week.

I've found out my boyf has no holiday left this year so I'm seeing if a friend is free.! *This is the problem when you work full-time and need to book holiday!!!*!

I have a horrible feeling I'm going to have to turn it down too :-(! Ack bad times.

But I suppose I can't be too sad… afterall I haven't really earned it and I'm not losing money or anything by not going. But… sigh.!

I'm not sure who posted it originally but thank you!! My faith in winning has been restored!

uh huh tell him to take a sickie hubby had to do it last night for the bon jovi concert he went in done his first part then told he couldnt work the rest of the afternoon he was ill just glad we didnt bump into any his work mates there lol

He never takes sick days lol. He really wants to go but thinks having a thurs, Friday and monday off work will look too obvious. I've now found out I can transfer it to someone else so we're looking for friends who might want them. I know I can't offer them here due to the rules lol

If he never takes sick days that will show hes actually ill. They are more likely to believe him. He just needs to say he has man flu. I think you should go!

I feel for you , I had the same problem last week, i won tickets and flights to Australia for a festival and had to turn it down...gutted

what a shame, it is annoying when they give you such short notice, I've had to miss out on a few prizes as they've only given a few hours notice. Really hope you can go x

Well there's good news and bad news! I can't go but they have let me transfer the tickets to my younger stepbrother!

He's over the moon.... in fact he'll probably enjoy it more than me so it's all worked out well. Eurostar we're really cool about it too. Can't recommend their team highly enough.
