A huge leap forwards...

I'm so happy right now, knowing I've taken a massive leap forwards in becoming debt free.
Last week I applied for the Barclaycard 19mth 0% Visa card and was approved!
Today I received the card and a letter telling me my credit limit of £9900 - Woah. I certainly don't need £9900, but it's a positive feeling knowing that my credit score is good enough for them to offer me it.
Just this morning I've done a balance transfer from my Halifax and HSBC credit cards, and once this is processed through, the cards and accounts will be cut up and closed forever!! Mwah ha ha ha haaa!
In total I've 'balance transferred' £2815 which after the 2.9% fee means I have a Barclaycard balance of £2896.63.
On my old cards, I only ever paid the minimum (normally about £70 - £80 / mth) and was obvilusley getting nowhere fast.
On the new 0% for 19mth Barclaycard, the MoneySavingExpert calculator tells me that with just a £100/mth payment, I'll pay off the card in 30 months and the total overall cost will be just £157.
I'll actually be a tart towards the end of the 19mths and see whats on offer to see if I can reduce the £157 cost - But if not, I'm happy to have made such a bold move (and really happy to have been accepted).
Happy days - Just thought I'd share.
Rich.
