Someone's got to stop Woolworths doing these fake half price deals. Sorry, but you'd get a better laptop for that price in any major computer chain.Debt as at 12th July 2006 - £61,345
Debt free 21st Oct 2011.
All thanks to :money:0 -
ditto it was never £799.99 and how can they get away with saying it was. I thought it had to be for sale for a few weeks and then reduced before a retailer can say it was at so and so price.0

Agreed - this is very expensive for what it is. You can get dual core laptops for £400 with some shopping around.happy-hoor0

I saw a computer base only at ASDA last night for £279 and it had a good spec. I cannot remember exactly what the spec was but it is Vista ready and it made my PC look like a calculator. Much faster than the Woolworths one. Put this with a cheap monitor bought elsewhere and you have a fantastic deal.0 -

The CrystalBrite Technology thing makes the picture unbelievable clear compared to likes of the cheaper Dell Inspirons.

It's not just the laptops that they falsely advertise. It's almost everything that they say is reduced is not actually reduced at all. I think the way you get away with saying it's reduced is by selling it for full price in at least one of your stores for at least 4 weeks. So every store in the UK probably gets one outrageously overpriced item on sale for four weeks a year and then Woolworths can have this amazing sale non stop.
No wonder they are going out of business as fast as you can say "sale".0 -
Well, its only a fool that will be fooled by their tricks & if you are clever enough to join this web & you buy into a foolish trick then your an even bigger fool.0
