Hello All,
5 years ago i took out a loan out with Lloyds and have since paid this off. Unfortunately i havent kept any record of the contract, however simply dividing the total amount borrowed by the term the loan was over comes back with pretty much the figure i was paying back monthly.
Despite this, people are still telling me to write to Lloyds and "give it a go".
Surely i'm wasting my time right??

Hi and welcome.
Lloyds should still hold details of this account, and should hold all details for at least the last 6 years.
For example with all mine with Lloyds were always added, and of course with my reasons mis sold, have been successful on them all so far, so depending on your reasons and if you have your account number you can continue to make a reclaim.
You could actually call into your local branch and if you bank with them, all they require is your bank acc number to go into details of any other accounts you have taken out with them, loans/credit cards and so on.
Also if you check on Lloyds website, you can make a reclaim by following the procedures on there, which is the same procedures and reclaim questionnaire on this site, check it out.

Depends on the nature of your complaint. If by "give it a go" you mean fraudulently put a fake complaint in then no you shouldn't. If you mean you have a valid reason for complaint then yes you should.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
