1st letter sent to Northern Rock on 19th March, and on Saturday 18th June an offer of £7500! Thanks to this site for template letters and useful info in the forum.

There was I all ready to go to the Ombudsman. They state that there was insufficient evidence at their end that I was correctly advised at the time of taking out the loan. Plus the loan was rolled over 4 times so every one of them had some refund due.

I can't quite believe it!

I have now written to the other 3 banks I'm dealing with and waiting for copies of the original paperwork before proceeding on the same lines.
