    I would love a personalised mug that said my "teaching name" on it, so no one in the staff room will use it!

    Plants and flowers are lovely, maybe your daughter could decorate a pot and plant a bulb in it? Or you could go and choose some beads and make a bracelet/necklace. I know you said no food but what about getting a kilner jar and filling it with the dry ingredients for cookies, and attach the recipe as a label?
