Wednesday 15th June - What small DFW things will you be doing today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important:D
Morning everyone;)
I've ummed and awwed about posting now as I've realised my lists are the same every day...I don't have debt now...but I guess I do want it to stay that way and posting my list helps me remember little things that keep me organised (such as taking food from freezer for dinner...)
So I'm here for now...with yet another riveting list:)
No work for me today...and no college either:j Off for my eldests orthodontist appt at the hospital (which means I have a cuppa up there) and having coffee with my friend later who I've not seen for a gossip for weeks;)
Ok, list time:
Have a great day all of you - hope all well and cheery on this hump day!!

Well even if the list is the same at least it keeps you on the straight and narrow I've not posted on here before but lurk and reading the lists remind me of the stuff I've got to do, and as you are now debt free you have obviously doing something right, so thanks for the list and starting the day off.0

Thanks Pixie for starting us - I'm the same as you but I do feel it keeps me on the right road when I post and I think more about what I am going to do to save money.
My list for today:- Lunch and dinner from stores
- check banking and e-mails
- still to book a holiday
- payday so move some money around
- tidy house

Hi everyone
I know what you mean, Pixie. I'm finding it difficult just now as well as although I'm not debt free I can't really do anything 'extra' atm to deal with the debts... Such a routine, take lunch to work, don't get the bus etc and I can't seem to do any more. OH's loan is kinda taking care of itself with monthly payments and we can't afford to make overpayments while he's not working, and same with my credit card - it's at 0% so making the minimum payments still means it's coming down at least but again we can't make any overpayments.
I am doing a few small things today:- Cheapo porridge brekkie
- Walking to work
- Waiting to get to work to have a free cuppa there
- Night in tonight - tidying round and then a bit of TV*
- Take towels/sheets to launderette - not v DFWesque cos it costs me a small fortune but really can't handle trying to get them all dry in my bijou flat!

Morning all,
Thanks for starting us off Pixie – glad you have kept on posting
Hi to all new posters and regular folk
Today I have/will
• Will have a NSD – apart from train travel to work (long story)
• Head down at work – off on Friday so loads to do
• Look for MS jobs – need to print off the notes for tomorrow’s job
• Checked my online banking – no change
• Charging phone at work
• Text rather than phone as I have gone over my minutes!
• Think positive today - and try not to get dragged down by everyone’s negativity
• Meals stores
• Read newspaper online
• Need to check out the freebies and the competition boards
• Enter comps online
• Drink plenty of water
• Take meds and vits to control hormones
• Update food diary (online and paper copy)
• Need to catch up on the thread
In a bad mood at the moment – SIL put on FB that my niece’s birth has been registered and they have chosen her SIL’s name as a middle name for her! It’s hard not to feel a bit annoyed by it – it seems like she has dumped her family (including hubby and I).
Not too sure how to sort this out – will keep an eye on the situation!
Will see what happens....
Take care everyone

Hi everyone,
It's reassuring to know I'm not the only one who is feeling a bit of a hump on our DFW journey...I agree it's good to read other people's lists once in a while to jog our memories, & despite being very repetitive, the more we say what we will do the more obliged we feel to actually do itYay for staying on the wagon!
La Escocesa - Tbh, I agree with your decision to go out somewhere to drown your sorrows/celebrate! I really hope it's the latter though
Candy - The car is a no go then?I wouldn't look too much in the name thing...for all you know they just really liked the name & when your SIL found out started banging on about them naming the baby after her & they felt too embarrassed to say otherwise!
Today I have/will:-- [STRIKE]Heating off [/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Make use of free water etc at work [/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Leftovers for lunch[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Catch up on flylady activities & thread[/STRIKE]

- [STRIKE]Washing on eco setting[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Hang up to dry[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Refillable bottle to tkd tonight[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Try & do some more decluttering/ebaying, especially since there is a free listing weekend coming up[/STRIKE] - Decluttering is a gogo
