Is there a list of bank accounts on here anywhere to move to before starting a DMP?

Apparently the best ones to go on are those with no overdraft facility like Barclaycard Cash Card account or the basic Co-Op one - sure someone will have othersLife is too short not to love what you do.0

Thanks, but I owe Barclaycard.0

This list http://www.payplan.com/debt-news/2011/01/20/right-to-offset/ tells you which banks are connected and you need to find a bank that is not connected to any of your current creditors. Then apply for a basic bank account with whichever one you don't have debts with.
In addition to that list Co-op cashminder is popular (and they are only connected with smile).A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Hard to find one that's not linked. Question, why a basic account. Not talking about overdrafts, but would want a debit card.0

I have just opened two bank accounts with the Co-op bank and they have been really helpful. Both accounts come with a debit card. So try them.0

A lot of people about to enter DMPs find they cannot get a regular account, as they fail the credit check, so basic bank accounts are recommended. It also ensures you don't get tempted to run up an overdraft as this would be against the terms of your DMP (and lots of standard accounts come with buffer zone overdrafts of £50 or so).
Most of the basic bank accounts do have debit cards - a list of accounts and facilities is here - http://yourmoney.moneyadviceservice.org.uk/HTML/en/products/bank_accounts/basic_bank_accounts_popup.htm
As said if you are struggling to find one you are not connected to co-op is often a good choice, and they do have a visa debit card.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
