The FSA do allow complaints if you have mad a claim. However, it is actually harder to make a complaint as you cant use a few of the major reasons (e.g. can't say you didn't know you had it as you have claimed on it. You can't say you were not eligible as you clearly were etc).

If your complaint is successful, then the amount of the claim is deducted from the redress payment. If your claim about is higher than the redress payment then you don't get anything as you are financially better off.

FOS is indated with spurious claims from people like you. That's why people who've been genuinely ripped off have to wait so long.

I blame the media and sites like this for giving the impression that 'all PPi's were bad' - if you've claimed on it mate, it's served its purpose.

Why don't you try claiming back your car insurance if you don't have an accident?

The person starting this thread has written one line and you know nothing about them or their circumstances.

Having made a claim on the policy will probably mean it wasn't mis-sold. However there are a number of exceptions to this-

If you've claimed on FirstPlus PPI it actually makes you complaint stronger! You should definitley still make a complaint if you have FirstPlus PPI.

If you've got loan or credit card PPI you may still be able to make a complaint if you've only claimed a small amount (and you have good reasons for mis-selling).

Mortgage PPI almost certainly won't be mis-sold if you've claimed on it.

Who is the complaint against and how long did you claim?
