    Give them another try, quoting your full name, date of birth and any addresses you had when you took out the loans.

    Out of interest, how long ago were the loans taken out / repaid?

    If you have no joy, you might want to try a "subject access request" - but they will normally charge a fee.

    If the banks are local to you, see them face to face, ask to speak to the branch manager, some have got round them this way to what I know of.

    They are doing this a lot now. Its so unfair and its been timed just right for the FSA to step in (knights in shining armour!!) if you think about it. They started to regulated insurance in 2005? 6 years later its 2011...hmmmmm
