HSBC/First direct concerns

Is it just me or is anyone else concerned that out of all the big banks, there doesn't seem to be any success stories for HSBC or first direct? In fact just doing a search there seems to be quite a few people saying they are being fobbed of for months with letters saying they are too busy to make a decision, whilst Santander can make a decision within a week!

    Hiya
I have come across other posts similar to yours.

Have you also tried emailing the CEO/Managing Director?
Not saying it will make any difference, some CEO's are more lenient than others, but you could raise your concerns of this matter to them perhaps.
    Good luck.

I am getting a lot of letters from them. Just stating they are looking into my complaints, they have had my forms for 4 weeks now and I have had 4 letters from them. But I also have a complaint in as well about how a loan was sold to me.

That is good going, one letter a week. They have 8 weeks for the final response as you may well know so good luck.

sent my letters off to HSBC just had a letter back on saturday to say that they are looking into it and will make a decision within 4 weeks. fingers crossed for everyone, but HSBC are a nightmare in delaying things this shouldnt happen especially when others are getting paid out.

I'm finding it more and more frustrating. My complaint, which I sent in September last year has been on hold since January. I have rung HSBC a number of times recently, to which they told me they were waiting for guidelines on dealing with the complaints that were put on hold due to the Judicial Review. So they are dealing with the new ones, but the old ones are still waiting, although I gather they may have started getting them moving. When I rung up this morning to find if there was any progress with mine, they said they were waiting for guidelines on how long the ones on hold would take.

    Guidelines, guidelines, guidelines.

These guidelines were specifically around finding out how long a complaint that had been on hold would take. It wasn't the young chap at the other end of the lines fault, but by this point I was getting a little exasperated. I did point out that the last letter I had received was in January and unless I rung, I would have no idea what was going on with it. He said he understood. I don't think he did.
