good savings account for a small time saver

i am saving up for a specific goal and need approx £2k. i will only be able to put in around £100 a month on a normal month and maybe more some months. where would you advise putting it? i know nothing about savings i have an isa with santander but frankly the access to this is to easy. i have looked at some post office accounts that make it hard for you to get the money out that sound good to me, has anybody got any better ideas?

If you are a taxpayer, you will have to deduct tax from the headline (gross) rates.

It may well be the case that, net of tax, you are better off investing in your existing ISA (or a new ISA if you have not already opened one since 6th April 2011). If so, then see post 1 of this thread...

Almost regardless of what you choose, you will have to review the suitability of your account after a year to ensure that you are still getting the best deal.
