Welcome and the fscs

Hi wonder if anyone has had a offer yet from the fscs? We received our claim pack from fscs at the end of march and sent if off the same day we were then sent a letter dated 6th April saying that the are now dealing with our claim and that it should be Dealt with within 30days which was last week. We keep calling each week to ask how its going but they are saying that its with the fscs waiting for there final decision and it could be another couple of weeks.
Any one else going through the same?

Hi Shell,

I have been successful with the FSCS/Welcome last month. The whole process took about 3 weeks for me. If you are successful you will probably receive the money before the actual decision letter so check your bank account every day (if you provided your bank details).

Hi Shell,
I also sent my form off at the beginning of April. 2 weeks ago they wrote to me asking me to send proof of my identity as the signature on my form did not match with the one they had on record, they said they needed this to process my claim. I sent my driving licence and received it back 3 days later ( about 10 days ago ) but thats the last I heard.
Seems as though theres a few of us waiting .

Just wish they would hurry up We were already given a offer by welcome back in march we signed the form send it back to be told that they can no long pay it out and that we need to wait for the fscs to send us a form and that we would have to go through the process again its so annoying. They already had all the figures so can not understand why its taking so long. We go away in a few weeks and could really do with the money I'm also hoping its going to be roughly the same amount as the first off was.

Hi all just thought I'd update you all well I checked my bank this morning and they have but just under £4000 in so just got to wait for our letter now to see how they got to this figure from them receiving our form to pay out it has been 9 weeks
