PPI-Been 3months+still haven't heard anything?

Hi,
Im helping my friend with three ppi mis-selling claims against Barclays.
I used the brilliant form off this excellent site, posted them by recorded delivery approx 3 months ago but he still hasn't heard anything off them.

Should i/we do anything about this please?

    Hi there

    Contact them for an update.
Its possible this was held up because of the Judicial Review, which is now all over, and the banks have huge backlogs to catch up with.
I would maybe suggest to your friend to contact them or if you write on her behalf to ask for an update.

On the above link I believe they can also be contacted by completing an email form, good luck.

I usually find Barclays pretty good at acknowledging complaints - so if your friend hasn't even had a standard acknowledgement letter then I'd definitely chase them.

Ah, i've found that he did have a standard acknowledgment letter...but hasn't heard anything for over 8 weeks now.
Is this the standard time to expect any more contact from them, bearing in mind how inundated they must be?

    Hi there

Hopefully he will receive a letter soon, it seems they have made a start or the main of the banks have, but it could be worth him chasing it up and ask them for an update.
(It is normally 8 weeks for the standard time, but they could be behind due to the backlog, but yet should let you know).
    Good luck.

    Hi ,
    Here is the latest-
Many, many weeks ago i sent three PPI claims to Barclays for my friend (three seperate policy numbers).

He received three letters back, two stating that they were looking into it and will get back to him 'as quickly as possible' and one letter stating that they are 'unable to locate a policy' in his name.

Upon going through his paperwork with a fine tooth comb (very time consuming) i have found lots of loan, and subsequent PPI policies. However, i have across some problems, an example is this-

Regarding a loan he had in 2006, these are the many details that he has:
    2006-
A letter confirming his PPI had 'Our Ref: EP38***72'
On their statement of 'Demands and Needs' there was an 'Our Ref: 061116/0422/*His surname*/1156217/2***08
A PPI policy that only had his Barclayloan number: 45***98
Barclayloann acceptance letter 'Our Ref: 6577***616/1611'

Now, my problem is if im going to make a PPI claim for him, which reference number should i use? I have found that Barclays have made finding the actual PPI policy reference number extremely difficult!!

    Please help if you can....

I'd quote them all. Even if you use one of the standard forms there are plenty of spaces to write extra information. Give them everything, then they can't come back and say you quoted the wrong number.

It might even be worth enclosing copies of the letters, then they can look for themselves.

When you claim ppi mis sell, you only need the loan or cc number, there is no seperate number for the ppi.
They will find the loan and it will show ppi.
