I think its mainly down to what customer service person you end up talking too, Becaus I phoned sky for a quote they quoted me £62 for internet phone-line and full TV packege but I didnt have my card to pay at that moment, two days later my boyfriend phoned up to pay and asked for the exact same package word for word and they quoted £73. Couls someone please tell me how in the space of 48 hours the price can increase by almost 15%. Silly silly joke of a company

Typical, retentions last week said they couldn`t offer anything off the fitting of Tivo, today received a general offer to all customers of free fitting.
Anyone else managed to get a good retention deal on this?0 -
I am leaving Virgin to join Sky next week.
I have xl tv,sky sports, broadband and phone and hd and been with them for 11 years
They offered me a £20 to stay.
Bye bye,hello Sky0 -
Bear in mind tho that you DONT own the box, unlike Sky.When you leave VM,you have to return the equipment or be charged for it.
Sky boxes go for a tenner on fleabay, and a VM box is useless without a sub, so doesn't make huge odds IMHO.
On the flip side, if the Sky box breaks after 14 months you have to argue with Sky for a free repair, whereas VM swap it out

Yup,although I had a service call once because the customer wanted a silver Samsung box & all we had was black Pace ones & the Pace didn't go with her 'living room'....Nothing wrong with the box! That got her a £50 duff call-out charge!0 -

When you have a TiVo box you get Sky movies/sports in HD for free compared to the V+ box so in my case it actually lowered my bill PLUS I've just found out that my 50mb bb will be upgraded to 100mb at no extra cost. Have to admin I have XL TV etc. Other extras over V+ are:Encantador wrote: »Can you elaborate on what makes it better please?
1) If you are not watching TV you can record three channels.
2) If you have a smart phone and can access the MyVirgin webpage you can schedule records remotely. This is soon to be replaced by an App to do it directly.
3) It makes 6 (not yet seen them) common websites (Youtube etc) available on your TV and this list is due to be expanded.IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.
