total bargain, thanks op. We buy water to take out in my bag (trips out etc) rather than buying when out, i can't stand the taste of tap water. If i don't have any bottled water i end up buying coke which is not good all round!

18p a bottle compared to £1 each in the leisure centre!

this is a massive bargain! I drink and buy a lot of water (not MSE I know...) so this is brilliant :)

It is if you are getting something you use at a cheaper price than you would normally pay.

Great to use tap water where you can but....

    1. it is not always practical to do that (IE I cannot leave a load of tap water in the car so should I need any it is there and fresh, tap water goes really nasty in about 2 days if not refrigerated)
    2. There are some tap waters where I don't like the taste (Like London and Norfolk) so I can buy a bottled water where I can guarentee the taste. Some of us do not like wasting money on toxic chemicals to put in water to make it taste better (so called juice although often more in common with a bar of soap than an orange!)

Personally where I can I use a refilled bottle (when out on my bike or for a walk for instence where I can plan its usage) but surely life is all about choices and we all make different ones.

Oh and I don't like the fizzy water tastes horrid to me!
I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.

Why does water from different regions have unique tastes? I am used to both Staffordshire and London water, they both taste similar (like plain water). I live in Staffordshire. However, I just can't drink Birmingham or Walsall water. I have to force myself.

In 2008 London (Severn Trent) was voted as the best tasting tap water. I think they used a blind test.....?????? Google it. So why the different tastes? Different chemicals, methods???? Sorry I don't really have much knowledge of the process used to recycle water.

Its strange. Is it just what we are used to. Anyway, I feel lucky to have so many choices.

And yes the bottled water is s bargain. I might order a pack tomorrow (seeing as I always lose my empty bottles at work).

    Thanks for the bargain! 

Thanks for this offer, missed it first time round!

However I feel the need to justify why I'm buying it now thanks to this thread...

A: Tap water in my area tastes rank (and smells rank, I smell it on all my crockery/cutlery as well, kinda puts you off drinking it!)

B: I used to have a bit of an addiction to Diet Coke, and switching to fizzy water was the only thing that weaned me off it. I know the fizz still isn't good for your teeth, but at least it's additive free :D When I crave fizzy juice a bottle of sparkling water does the trick, still water would not be the same!

    PS. I recycle the bottles!!

Wow, how gullible people must be to buy water in a bottle, when you can get it from a tap.

Mind you, for convenience I would be interested if the powdered water economy refill packs go on sale.....

nb - did you know that Buxton Spring contains potentially dangerous quantities of DHMO ?

Its so good to hear that someone else can 'smell' the smell. My family think l'm mad because l can't eat off a plate or fork etc where l can smell it. It is as strong as off chicken to my nose.

Removing Chlorine from Tap Water simply requires chilling it, or leaving it to stand in a container for 24 hours. Then there is no taste / smell if you are sensitive to it.

And no waste of money on Peckham Spring....
