Collection not made and moving Monday - Help!

Hi, hope someone can advise me on this Ebay matter. I listed a bed on Ebay and the auction ended on Thurs 12th and in that listing i stated that this bed must be collected by Sun 15th as we are moving out Mon 16th, so please read before bidding. And i made it very clear in big red writing. Since Thurs i've had no response from the buyer regarding collection i move in 1 day. I can't take the bed with us as there would be no room to store.
I have messaged the buyer a couple of times telling them the situation i am in and also sent them an invoice. I asked the buyer to please get back to me either way (yes they want or simply changed their mind). I just want some sort of communication.
Now what i really want to do is sell this bed to the next highest bidder but i don't think i can right? As i need to cancel this transaction first? Or do i have to wait until Monday (would be 4 days) before opening up a un-paid item case? But both options i would still have to hold to the bed until the buyer decides what he/she wants to do. Is that right?

Hope someone can help. Many thanks for reading! :)

Unfortunately you are stuck as your understanding of the process is correct.

Personally I would get the buyers contact details and call them and ask them outright what they want to do. If they decline to collect you may just have to give the bed away on freegle if you can't just leave it behind.

Hi soolin, thanks for the reply. How do i obtain the buyers number to call? I've just messaged them again to explain what i will have to do if they don't make contact (open a non payment case) and i'll see what happens... Thank you!

    Hopefully this link will work:

Can you actually leave the bed in situ for the 4 days it will take to do an NPB? As if buyer pays within that time you would have to let them collect the bed of course.

Thanks again and for the link. I am in rented accommodation at the moment and new tenants are moving in straight after us. So i would need to store this bed else where, if needs be i can store this in my BIL's garage (still need to ask, hope all ok with that) and then collection would need to be from there (only a 15mins drive from the current location). Just hope that if buyer does collect that this won't be another headache... Oh the joys of Ebay and packing today! :)

Thank you so much, managed to get the number. Wish me luck calling... feeling a little nervous now.

Tried calling and all i get is a dead tone.... typical. I'm just going to sit tight and wait for the case to be open and go from there now.

    Thanks.

Have you tried a second chance offer? I doesn't sound like the winning bidder wants it.

Surely not before you go through the NPB on the first buyer otherwise OP could end up with two winners and two lots of FVFs to be paid.

Perhaps you should have listed it to finish a week earlier. At least then you would have a week to open an npb and offer it to the next highest bidder.
