When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D

Goood morning - happy Friday 13th:eek: Hope it's a lovely, lucky day for us all:)
So we're nearly at the weekend - thank goodness for that, I can't wait;)
Nothing much planned for me today - off to work, home at 2.30...need to get some uni work done for an essay we're doing next week in our college session...not good.
Ok, my list:
  • check banking
  • check onepoll
  • packed lunch for dd2
  • meal from plan tonight - chicken chow mein
  • chicken defrosting
  • NSD possibly
  • take water/fruit to work
  • do P*cone survey in my inbox
Ok, that'll do me - have a fantastic fun-filled friday:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I really need to sort out a new signature!

Good morning everyone, and thanks to pixie for getting us started today.

I'm happy it's Friday too. It's been a difficult week at work and I can't wait for the weekend. Mind you, I now have 2 customer orders waiting in the sewing room so it won't be a lazy few days. :D:D

    So far today I have:
    • run DW overnight on Economy 7
    • checked banking
    • checked for surveys
    • fed and watered the chickens
    I will also:
    • take motorbike to work as it uses very little fuel
    • read at lunchtime to avoid shops
    • left overs for lunch
    • after work, go and chat to someone regarding a new job
    • straight to DDs after above chat to sort out fancy dress costumes
I'm hoping the chat tonight with the co-ordinator of a new local charity will be productive. Even if it only means two days a week it will enable me to give up the admin role of my current job that gets me so stressed. Fingers crossed....
