Just received a letter re a CC I had in 1995

Hi All,
This morning got a letter from a debt collection agency stating that I owed the £4500 for an MBNA card that I had in 1992-1995.
I am sure that I paid this and cancelled it in 1995, however....
So do I ignore it? They say that they have bought the debt.

Anything more than 6 years old without any payments being made is statute barred. A quick search on the forum will bring up the relevant template letter to send them and get them to stop bothering you.
