1. This prize draw is open to UK residents aged 18 or over, other than employees of BT, their families or its agencies. Only one entry per person.
2. Entries must be made by leaving a comment under the blog post at https://www.bt.com/xmen answering the question ‘If you were one of the X-Men what would your special power be and why?’ by 23.59 on Wednesday 15 June 2011. Entries sent in through agents or third parties will not be entered into the prize draw.
3. First prize consists of a 4 night break to New York for 2 people and includes:
- 2 return economy flights from a London Airport to New York (including return hotel/airport transfers in New York);
- 4 nights’ accommodation at a centrally located boutique hotel;
- Bespoke stunt school experience;
- £200 spending money;
- Dinner for two at a restaurant selected by the Promoter; and
- Travel insurance.
25 runner-up prizes consist of a a ‘goody bag’ each containing:
- Twentieth Century Fox Corporate Bag;
- DVD Box set of X-Men 1-3 and X-Men Origins: Wolverine;
- Mouse Mat, Notepad, Disc Shooter, Battle Discs and Stationery Set.
4. The first comment selected at random by an independent third party on 23 June 2011 will with the first prize, and the next 25 comments selected by the same method will each win a runner-up prize. All winners will be notified by email by 15 July 2011. The Promoter reserves the right to re-draw the prizes if any prize-winner cannot be contacted within a reasonable period of time (to be established at the promoter’s sole discretion) or in the event that it believes that any entrant has contravened these Terms and Conditions.
5. The first prize winner will have be sent all relevant documentation, tickets and spending money at least 1 month before date of outbound flights. The runner-up prizes will be sent to winners within 60 days of the prize draw closing date.
6. First prize winner and chosen guest will be responsible for transport to and from the London airport and all other expenses, not expressly stated as being included in the prize, whilst in New York. Both winner and their guest must have a valid passport with minimum 6 month validity beyond the return date, at least 2 unstamped pages and a visa (if applicable). Prize must be redeemed in full by 30 April 2012 and excludes Christmas, New Year and all Bank Holiday periods. Once bookings have been made these cannot be amended. The Promoter will not be responsible for any delays, operational problems, brochure inaccuracies or other acts of default of the tour operator, stunt school, restaurant and/or airline. All elements of the first prize are to be selected at the sole discretion of the Promoter and are subject to availability.
7. If the guest accompanying the first prize winner is below the age of 16 they must provide written parental consent to participate in the prize unless the first prize winner is their parent or guardian.
8. Prizes are subject to availability. No cash alternative is available, prizes are non-transferable and non-refundable.
9. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if this is necessary for reasons beyond its control.
10. All entries must be the independent and original creation of the entrant and must not infringe the copyright or other intellectual property rights of any third party. By entering this prize draw you hereby transfer all copyright to the Promoter. The Promoter shall be entitled (but not obliged) to use any entries submitted under this prize draw in any form, for all purposes in all media.
11. A list of prize winners (name and county only) may be obtained by written request by sending an SAE to X-Men Prize Draw, B6GX, BT Centre, 81 Newgate Street, London EC1A 7AJ before 30 July 2011.
12. By entering this prize draw you agree that your image, biography and likeness (if applicable) may be used by the Promoter in unpaid promotional related publicity (including photographic shots and interviews) for a limited period of 5 years from the date the prize draw is draw.
13. Your personal details will be used solely for the purposes of this prize draw and not for any other purpose, unless you choose or have chosen to receive information from the Promoter. For more information please see BT’s Privacy Policy which can be found at www.bt.co.uk/privacy.
14. By entering this promotion, participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions together with any applicable terms and conditions for the hosting hotel and airline. The decision of the Promoter is final and binding in all matters relating to this prize draw.
15. The Promoter reserves the right to alter, amend or foreclose this prize draw without prior notice in the event that unforeseen circumstances make this unavoidable.
16. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant resulting from entering this prize draw or by the entrant’s acceptance of the prize.
17. This prize draw is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
