Credit Agency/Natwest/Westcott/Triton help!

Hi all, first time poster here and I could really do with some advice..

Basically in September time last year I had a call from a company called Westcott chasing a Natwest debt of around £1500-1600. I spoke to them, arranged a payment plan of £37.50 a week and said it would be put into place on the 15th October 2010. First payment and all subsequent payments have gone through without a problem.

However, I phoned them last week to check on the balance of the account and see how many payments were left to make etc.. They said that Natwest had withdrawn the plan/claim on the 14th October, so I had effectively been giving them £37.50 per week for nothing.. When I contacted them again today they said that the money would have gone from them to Natwest regardless and that I should contact Triton..

When I did that, they couldn't tell me if any payments had gone into the account, just that it had been closed and the balance was at £0, however I know that I couldn't have paid the full amount in that time. When I contacted Natwest directly they could give me no further details and recommended I contact Triton again! So as you can see I'm just going round in circles at the moment.

Basically I am just concerned that Westcott have pocketed over £1050 since October, that the payment was withdrawn on the 14th October seems very convenient aswell. Just not entirely sure where I stand as if the balance is £0 then surely that means I no longer owe Natwest yet there is no way I have paid enough to clear the debt, am at least £500 short!

Anyone else had anything similar happen, any advice on what to do next?!!? It would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
