INR on ebay - how to proceed

Hi there

I did not receive an item from ebay. I contacted the seller who sent the tracking number. This was 4 weeks ago as I bought it for my wedding and it didn't arrive in time so have only just begun to follow this up.

The tracking number says this when you whack it into the RM site:
Your item with reference AH********GB is being returned to sender.
This is either because the item wasn’t picked up by the recipient, or because we couldn't deliver it. Sorry for any inconvenience. Please allow for at least two days before tracking the return of your item.

I am going to contact the seller, but if they are unhelpful, would I win a dispute? If I am not going to win, I'll just forget about it all. The item no longer exists on ebay so it would be a paypal dispute.

Don't *think* that you would win a Paypal dispute based on this.

Seller *should* refund you when it's returned to them? (I think)

(unless it's a personalised item for your wedding that no-one else could use?)

Yes you would win a paypal dispute as it's got to show delivered which it doesn't. I though would be wondering why it hadn't arrived at you so I would be talking to the seller to checjk the address. Also I would speak to your sorting office and question why you didn't get a card saying it was waiting for you to pick up.

The seller will be assuming it was your fault for not picking it up (I can see their point) so they could be on the defensive. Contact them be polite and see what they say.

Buyer can get a refund as item doe snot show as delivered, for a buyer attempted delivery is not good enough.

OP watch your time frame here, you only have 45 days to claim back via paypal and if you go past that time you will be stuck. If you open an INR claim you will win, but assuming you are still within the 45 days give the seller a chance to refund you without a dispute first.

Since the post reorganisation in my area i no longer get cards for anything that is returned to the delivery office and am in the habit now of asking every few days when I take my own parcels in, if they have anything for me.
