Selling DVD's on ebay

I have over the years bought several DVD's at car boot sales and was thinking of putting some of them on ebay as a job lot.

I never buy DVD's which are obvious copies, but looking at some of my DVD's now I am not so sure whether some that I thought were original when I bought them, are genuine or not. Some have perfectly printed box covers and disc labels, but no hologram labels or any other special security marks.

I do not want to sell copied DVD's on ebay.

Is there any fail-safe way of ensuring that the DVD is an original?

Most copied dvds that dont have extras on them or of the wrong region display ie they would have FBI piracy notices etc on the actual movie instead of what is standard to the UK.

Other than those that stand out there isnt any foolproof way of ensuring they are originals.

you should be able to tell by looking at the actual disc by the hole in the middle there is usually some very small txt , sometimes its the studio
have looked at a couple of mine and some have universal , warner bros on

    goodluck :)

check the disc, if you can see where the last track ends it is a "burn". Originals are pressed and this doesn't stand out.

also the print on the disc will wash away if it was printed with a inkjet printer. run a wet finger on the graphics if it smears it is a home made copy.

    Thanks everybody

    Good clues there.

I had a look at the discs around the hole in the middle (you need a good magnifying glass) and they all appear to be genuine except for a very few. Also looked to see if I could see if there are tracks on the disc.

    Good to know this.

    Thanks once again
