taxed on mileage??

Hope you can help me I have recently started working for a new employer as a sales rep and they provide a company car which I can also use for personal journeys. Each month they pay £100 which is to cover mileage and mobile use, i have now noticed I am getting taxed on this amount. Is this correct? Previously in another position with the same perks I did not get taxed, help me and advise please I am confused!

If you are provided a company car and fuel it does become taxable, especially if you have personal use of it. HMRC rates for company cars are far lower than that of private ones.
