Seller has lied to paypal

I bought an item that I did not receive, I dont know why but all details of the transaction have gone off my account?, anyway it did not arrive and I did not get any response from the seller.

I filed an INR with paypal and the seller has given a RM tracking ref no for an item delivered in London and I live in the North??

Is there anything I can do

thanks
karen

Phone paypal as soon as you can and point out that the tracking number does not relate to your purchase, be persistent. Paypal do require a copy of the original slip if it is disputed and that will show a different address to yours.

Had exactly the same some time back. Sent full response to Paypal unfortunately their 'overseas' operatives clearly had no idea that Glasgow was not in York and refused my claim. I appealled and after 2 phone calls finally go this reversed.

Unfortunately the sellers who do this appear not to be punished at all apart from perhaps negative feedback.

It may not appear so to you, but I'd be surprised if a seller doing this would get away with it, unless it's a one off mistake.

    Hi,
I explained to paypal and they said they will give the seller 3 days to show them the pop certificate with the correct address on it, if they fail to do this I will automatically be refunded. They were actually very helpful.

    Thanks, for the advice

this is exactly what happens, in reversed disputes Paypal will refund you from their own funds and NOT from the sellers account, so leaving the seller to carry on with his scams unpunished.

what you have to think is that paypals policies are set up to aid fraudsters and punish genuine users
