Hi,

Do Santander normally send out welcome e-mails written in Comic San font? Just received one some 10 days after applying online for their Flexible ISA and was wondering if it's the genuine article or some scam. If it is genuine it certainly looks quite shoddy and unprofessional.....there again this is Santander!!

Will probably attempt to call them at some point tomorrow anyway to confirm that the account number they are asking me to make a deposit into is actually mine and not some con artist's.

Cheers

I applied for mine at around the same time. No emails have been received, only letters. I suggest you treat your email with caution.

Yes they do - the last few that I've received from them have used Comic Sans MS for the body text, with Courier New being used for the signature/disclaimer text.
