Selling in the next few weeks?

Hi

This is a bit of an open question as i am aware no one can predict the future and we havnt had so many bank holi's thrown together at once, but....

have people had good/bad experiences of finishing items on a bank holiday monday, and is there a good time of month to end items.

My thought is to list my items for 10 days to finish on the first BH in May, therefore people have been paid, and i get some time over the bank holi before. Any advice would be great? Or anyone have a crystal ball!

Thanks

I think it depends on the item. I sell a lot of unique antiques and collectables so I often gets bids as soon as I list as people don't tend to impulse buy, so end dates don't really matter to me quite so much.

I generally get better sales on holidays compare to normal days and I sell consumer electronics. For weekly wise, I get highest sales on Mondays and lowest on Thursdays

I have always tried to end auctions on say a Sunday early evening to give people all weekend to find it and bid. I think the same applies to Bank Holiday weekends so ending them on say the Easter Bank Holiday monday evening would give a good 4 days of viewing and bidding.
